Miss Whoops Santa

SA400923.JPG

When people see my Santas they come to me with specific requests for their "special Santas".
One man wanted his little black Cocker Spaniel in the carving and he wanted a red gown, this lead to the "Miss Whoops Santa" She is in the basket and helping Santa with his rounds

Surfer Lighthouse
Peter wanted a Santa for his wife to remind them of their wonderful time in Santa Cruz, California. When I asked him what he would like, he responded that he would love either the Monarch Butterflies or Natural Bridges State Park. He also loved the "surfer lighthouse"(I have been told this is the only light house that is not white)  The end result was my "Santa Cruz Santa" with monarch butterflies on the boarder of the gown (I love and probably would never have tried doing that without his input) and Natural Bridges State Park in the front. The entire back of the Santa is the lighthouse complete with waves and cliffs.
All scenes are carved in relief on the Santa then wood burned and painted. Since Peter worked for Lipton tea, his basket is full of their products.

this Santa is 16 inches tall, and done in one piece
